Senior Officer, Mobile App Development

Job Description

• Translate designs and wireframes into high-quality code.
• Design and build high-quality applications for the Android platform.
• Design, build, and maintain high-performance, reusable, and reliable Java/Kotlin code.
• Ensure applications are user-friendly, feature-rich, and aligned with user needs.
• Strong knowledge of Android SDK and different versions of Android.
• Understanding how to deal with different screen sizes and device specifications.
• Ensure the performance, quality, and responsiveness of applications.
• Conduct performance tuning and optimization to improve application efficiency.
• Familiarity with cloud message APIs and push notifications.
• Strong knowledge of Android UI design principles, patterns (MVP, MVVM), and best practices.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features.
• Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback to peers.
• Help maintain high standards of code quality, organization, and automation.
• Implement coding best practices and ensure code is clean, maintainable, and well documented.
• Proficient understanding of code versioning tools, such as Git.

Job Requirement

• Minimum bachelor’s degree preferably in Computer Science, Engineering or a related field.
• 3-4 years of working experience preferred in Computer Science, Engineering or a related field.
• Experience in integrating third-party libraries and APIs (e.g., RESTful services).
• Experience with XML for UI design and Jetpack Compose for declarative UI development.
• Experience with offline storage, threading, and performance tuning.
• Experience working with product management and UI/UX designers.
• Experience with communication and messaging applications.
• Experience with security software and solutions.
• Ability to work in a dynamic, fast moving and growing environment.
• Confidence, proactive and ability to work under pressure
