Officer, HSE

Summary of Position

To support the CMI’s business units and project/plant operations with regards to the reinforcement of the company’s health, safety, and environment (HSE) policy and directives.

What you will do:

• Establish and maintain relevant HSE records and documentation
• Ensures the required PPE’s are available for staff and involve in PPE inventory management
• Involves in risk assessment and hazard identification at workplaces and recommend the applicable control measures
• Involves in the development of toolbox talks (TBT) and takes part in TBT meeting at plants/sites
• Conducts the HSE inspections on plants/sites and CMI’s vehicles to ensure non-compliance issues are corrected
• Develop and facilitate HSE training and induction to staff
• Takes lead in screening tests (driving, drug, alcohol, COVID…)
• Involves in accident/incident investigations and define the root causes for analysis and prevention, and ensure the reports are documented
• Perform other duties as assigned

What you should have:

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Civil Engineering, or a related field
• At least 2 years of experience in the field of HSE management and/or construction site management or in related area
• Knowledge of occupational health, safety, and environment
• Knowledge of risk assessment and analysis
• Computer proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, E-mail)
• Strong interpersonal skills
• Ability to work under pressures
• Ability to travel and work at designated provinces, if required
• Valid driver’s license
