General Manager, Fashion

Summary of the Position:

General Manager is to be responsible for all aspects of a fashion retail company's operations including the development of the business and its strategies, with a focus on financial and operational goals.

General Manager - Fashion will provide leadership and be responsible for ensuring all relationships with our partners, vendors, team, staff, and board members are maintained positively and professionally.

You will be responsible for the financial stability and growth of the function and Business Unit and demonstrate the analytical ability to grasp the data and the impact on the Business and executing the overall operation's goals
 
What you will do:
  • Play a critical role in ensuring the business performs to expectation and within budget.
  • Manage and support all financial aspects of the Fashion Function: review and maintain monthly P&L reports, manage, and forecast annual budgets for each department, review and respond to variances
  • Drive business development and expansion strategies to strengthen the company’s market position.
  • Design Fashion function strategy and set goals for growth
  • Work with Marketing Manager to develop effective marketing strategies to establish and grow brand awareness and consequently boost sales
  • Work with Marketing Manager to conduct market research to identify key issues, assess the effectiveness of marketing initiatives/ programs and diversify market strategy to various actions
  • Provide direction to ensure communication strategy and delivery actions are consistent with the overall direction of company and brand guidelines
  • Manage relationships with media and the public when conflict occurs and/or when commercial expectations are not met.
  • Project Management of fitting out and setting up the stores, concepts, following the brand guidelines
  • Be responsible for launch the new products in timely and effective manner
  • Oversee the overall business to ensure smooth operation of retails and compliance with the brand guidelines
  • Prepare annual operational plan, lead, and manage the team of Fashion in all projects on daily operations to ensure company objectives are achieved
  • Develop team by providing training, counseling, evaluating performance, and promoting teamwork
  • Monitoring the performance and achievements of the employees
  • Work with HR department in hiring the right candidates, train them, and help them to executive the business plan, maintain company’s standards and achieve the targets
  • Perform other duties as assigned

 

What you should have:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business Administration or other related fields. Master’s degree is a plus
  • At least 7 years proven work experience in general management of business & operations of fashion, supermarket, malls, retails, food & beverages, hotel/hospitality, trading, import of consumers good, or similar
  • Corporate managerial experiences within the Multinational Clothing and Apparel/Retail environment is a plus
  • Demonstrated leadership and project management capability
