Chief Information Officer
Job Summary:
Oversee the streamlined operations of the IT function and ensure it is aligned with the business objectives of the organization; Plan, coordinate, direct, and design all operational activities of the IT function, as well as provide direction towards the digitalization of the company to enhance critical business operations; work closely with decision makers of other functions to identify, recommend, develop, implement, and support cost-effective digital solutions for all aspects.
What you will do:
• Formulate and deploy long-term strategic plans for acquiring and enabling efficient and cost-effective digital processing and communication technologies.
• Manage IT function’s operational and strategic planning, including business requirements, project planning, and organizing and negotiating the allocation of resources.
• Where necessary, re-engineer applications to ensure it aligns with business processes, tactical planning, and digital vision.
• Define and communicate project milestones, service level agreements, and resource allocation to the executive team, department leads, support staff, and end-users.
• Develop and review budgets and investments for and from all IT departments and ensure they comply with stated goals, guidelines, and objectives.
• Review the performance of IT systems to determine operating costs, productivity levels, and upgrade requirements.
• Benchmark, analyze, report on, and make recommendations for the improvement of the IT infrastructure, security, and systems.
• Develop bid requirements for all hardware and software upgrades, review submitted bids for compliance with stated requirements, and makes the appropriate award.
• Authorize and oversee the deployment, monitoring, maintenance, development, and support of all hardware and software based on department needs.
• Develop business case justifications and cost/benefit analyses for IT spending and initiatives.
What you should have:
• University degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field. A Master’s degree in either field or a Master of Business Administration with technology is preferred.
• 5-10 years of working experience in managing and/or directing an IT operation, especially SAP ERP System and/or GOLD. Proven experience in IT infrastructure planning and development, project management, Risk Management, Policy Development and Digitalization.
• Knowledge of current network and PC operating systems, hardware, protocols, and standards.
• Knowledge of system design, development, and security.
• Knowledge of business theory, business processes, management, budgeting, and business office operations.
• Knowledge of applicable laws and regulations.
• Strong leadership skills.
